🔀 System Architecture (Choose between two home solutions)

【Option A: Extreme Dual-Router Architecture】

Suitable for: Hardcore audiophiles who own a private sound room and have extremely high demands for sound blackness and overtones.

  • External network access: Fiber optic modem → connect to home router.
  • Bridged fever backbone: Run a network cable from the LAN port of your home router and plug it into the WAN port of R7.
  • Streaming audio output: Connect the R7's LAN port to the HiFi Switch using an audio-grade network cable, and then distribute it to your streaming player or Music NAS.
  • Wi-Fi Separation: Connect from the R7's other LAN port (first LAN port on the left in the diagram) ➔ to a dedicated WiFi Repeater. This wireless network is dedicated to controlling audio via apps (such as Roon, Tidal) on your phone or tablet, and is completely physically isolated from your regular home Wi-Fi.
  • Clean power supply: Insert the linear power supply (LPS) DC terminal into the rightmost DC 12V power input hole of R7.

Option B: Minimalist and Versatile Single Router Architecture

Suitable for: Living room audio enthusiasts, users with limited space, and those who want to handle the whole family's daily internet access and Hi-Fi streaming with one device.

  • Direct internet access: Connect the network cable from the fiber optic modem directly to the WAN port of the R7 (the R7 handles all the data in the house).
  • Audiophile streaming line: Use an audio-grade network cable to connect from the R7's audiophile LAN port ➔ to the HiFi Switch, and then connect to the audio decoding and storage devices.
  • Whole-house wireless coverage (Wi-Fi separation): Connect from the R7's LAN 1 port → to the AP-WiFi (included repeater). This repeater provides family members with everyday wireless internet access and also allows for audio control via a mobile app.
  • For everyday wired peripherals: If you have a TV or desktop computer at home, you can plug it into the remaining LAN port.
  • Power supply optimization: Connect to a DC 12V linear power supply (LPS) as before.
